Help please.

My friend went and impulse bought a golden nugget plec which cost him £40.It's about 2-3 inches long.
It's been big trouble since day one.It chases the other fish and has been trying to attach onto some of the angels.We've not actually seen this happen but two of the angels now have marks on their sides.It can't be hungry as it's being fed well.What can be done to stop this behaviour or should it be returned to the shop?

Unfortunately, some plecs develop a taste for the slime coat of south american cichlids like angels and discus, and sometimes freshwater rays too.

This can cause a breach in the angels' protective barrier against infection and it may become unwell or even die.

The plec needs to be re-located.

£40 for a gold nugget? He was ripped off! the price of this fish has dropped sharply in the last year and most places sell them for £25.
£15 or even £10 is not uncommon.

Ours cost us £8 each!
