Help Please Ref Eheim 2213 Filter ! Emergency !

Hello all .

My EHEIM 2213 has suddenly developed a fualt .

The flow from the outlet tube in the tank is PATHETIC .

I have cleaned the impellor , checked the media for stuff ( gunk eyc , but I only renewed that 3 weeks ago ) .

I have checked that when it is all connected and I put my finger over the inlet pipe in the tank , there is suction .

When I put the pump head in a bucket of water , it pumps out fine , when I stick the assebly ( green housing media etc ) in the bucket it fills up fine . when I put the whole lot in the bucket , it pumps water out but at a reduced rate .

I THINK either there is a blockage in the pipe work from the pump OUTLET to the tank OUTLET ( unlikely as it LOOKS fine and only 2 kinks which are clear )

OR

The pump itself is clogged / worn out and not operaing at its usefull output !

has anyone heard of the pumps just " Slowing down " I would have thought it would just pack up !!!

It is an internal filter as I had one.
I would have to move it up and down in tank water to get the thing going.
Also turn the flow up abit to see if that makes any difference.

Just copy your thread then paste it over in tropical discussion.
