Hey folks.
I require pics of fish whether photos/drawings or icons as long as they look realistic and don't have complicated backgrounds(to much work in removing them). If you've got any or happen across any while surfing the web could you send the url or if you copy any pics to me either at the address in my profile or here [email protected]

Cheers thanx n all that in advance

Give me a list of what you want exactly or mostly and I bet I have a few of them already. I only have 12 tanks set up and more fish than I can count in those tanks. Rose

Thanx Rose.
I'm needing everything from Spiny Eels to Neon Tetras to one lined pencil fish to American Flagfish. basicly If you've got pics of fish I could use them for a data base I'm building. If you've got any decent pics of Angel fish Davy'd be realy happy as I need one for the "fish Club" logo.

P.S. You're on the go early aint you? :D

hi try an image search on google.com. It really brings up a lot of images :D just try not to steal too many copyrighted ones ;)

Cheers William.
I use web ferret that searches the most popular engines all in one( saves having to do the same on them all). After 4 1/2 hours of coming up with one decnt pic though you get a bit disheartend by the whole thing. Some of the pics are decent enough but the background is to complicated to work with, you end up losing parts of the fish.
ever seen a kissing gourami with no fins or tail?

As a photographer I know all to well about copyright and ways to get around it, especialy stuff taken off the net. I suppose I could just come round to everyones house and take pics of their fish ( milk and 2 sugars please)or got to some shops and try and get some picks of there stock. Problem is in shops most of the selections are boring. There is one that phones me when they get a special order in though, but they are far and few between and to do the lot meself would take a few years.

One more question...Do you want just one fish in the pic or do you want a group of fish in the pic. I have a pic of all four of my loaches, one of my neons, gouramies, barbs...Most of my pics are more than one fish. Also do you want any betta pics? Rose

PS...Yes I am getting a early start. Once I hear from you on this I'll get a few up on here for ya. Rose 8)

Cheers Rose.
Perfect pics and I've stollen them, anytime they get used you'll get a mention. Mixed pics different pics of the same fish etc. I need them all. If you've heaps it may be an idea to zip them and send them. saves space

Davy. Cack all you say, Hmm wait until you see that logo you wanted :p

Ummm, zip file???? I know nothing about computers, but I an fix a messed up toilet. What is a zip file and how do I make one or two or three???? (K so I don't know everything I'm only human...)Rose 8)

K Rose when someone mentions a zip file there talking about a large amount of data that has been shrunk using a compression agent " win zip" is one particular agent. what it does is commpresses the info from lots of different files into one single file. a good way to save HD space and you can use it for single files as well. most of my pics end up being zipped then put onto cd for storage if they werent zipped i'd need about 500cd's a lot of stuff that gets downloaded from the net is zipped to save time but includes self extraction software so you don't need winzip it'self to open it as its got the stuff complete in the file. and it's got a free evaluation version with unlimited use. have a look at the site
winzip

Tell you what if you get any computer probs just ask me and if I get a blocked toilet you get a holiday in Scotland and Davy can get his fish hut built.

I found winzip on the 'puter so how do I use it to zip picture files???? 8)

:) Hi Rose,

If winzip is installed correctly, just select the files you want to zip in Windows Explorer, (use Ctrl & Shift for multiple files)right click and select Add to Zip.

This will open the Winzip window.
Give the zip file a name (in Add to Archive) and click Add.

That's all there is to it.

Andy

Good greif. Sorry Rose I never noticed your post.
Thanks Andy

In addition to what AndyT said you can tell a zip file as they look like a small yellow filling cabinet in a vice. if you just double click on it the winzip screen should appear(you'll get the options to use the classic or wizard interface. Wizards easier) click next then you can pick the destination to place the unzipped file(usualy C:/unzipped) hit next etc then the application will unpack the zip files to where you want them to go. A fresh win' explorer screen will apperar containing the files you just opened. Simple as that. To zip your own stuff. Just do as Andy said. select, rightclick, add to zip, etc.

Thanks FF.
I'm on my way to see what I can steal ;)
any get used you get the credit for them and I'll let you know where to see them.
