Pictures/videos (put videos on YouTube and link them here) and exact parameters please. How big is the tank, how long have you had the fish, and do you do water changes with dechlorinator? If so, how often and how much do you change at a time?

You also need to get a liquid test kit ASAP. The test strips are highly inaccurate. I recommend buying one as soon as possible so we can get accurate results and go from there.

I got this fish 2 weeks ago cuz she was almost dead in the store. The tank is 3 gallon and temporary home b4 she goes to he forever home. I can’t get the liquid test kit at the moment and the one I had broke 1 week ago. I have the bottles but no instructions . I do water changes every other day and I don’t need dechlorinator bc it’s culligan water treated with baking soda. I change around 15% and sometimes twenty. There is no heater cuz I live in a very warm household her water is 78 degrees.

Pictures and video of the fish please?
And also pictures of the “oily” poop.

The water levels are : GH: 60, KH: Off the chart 0.0
PH: 8.5 - 9.0. Anamonia: 0ppmPoop level:0ppm

The oily poop is unavailable bc is disintegrated into the water. I have a picture of the fish . I can’t give a video.

Here’s more pics

The KH and pH are high because of the baking soda. It will raise the pH and KH.

What is culligan water and are you adding the baking soda?

Oily poop is most likely form the food the fish is eating. Don't worry about it unless it is white and stringy.

Culligan water is a human drinking water that natural and de chlorinated and conditioned water that I have been using for my fish for 4 years. When I use culligan water I pour it into the bucket and then I test it , the KH is always off so I add dime sized amount of baking soda. I re test it then the KH is perfect .

I then do my water change and add it into the tank. It’s worked for me for four years and there are many methods online .

You don't need to add baking soda for Bettas. They occur in soft water with only a small amount of minerals in. If you really want to add some KH, try adding less and see where the pH and KH end up.
