Please help. Is my poor loach being bullied or is he ill? He has started to hide a lot. He has been fine for several months. All water perimeters are good l. In the tank is a golden gouami, 4 mollys, a yoyo and a bristlenose.

originally I was sold this as a yoyo have since found out that is not the case. There is a sand area in the tank but he is always on the gravel. Thank you

So, yoyo loaches need a group of 6+ and in a tank of 30 gallons plus. Also, sand is the best substrate for loaches and corys. Also it looks to me like your yoyo loach has lost it's barbels. This will mean it will get harder for it to feed and will inevitably die sadly. I'm going to assume that it's because of the substrate. @Colin_T what do you think?

How long have you had the fish for?
What symptoms are the fish showing?
Can you post some more pictures of that fish and the other fishes in the tank?

How long has the tank been set up for?

How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the tank?

What sort of filter do you have?
How often and how do you clean the filter?
What is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH (in numbers)?

Have you added anything new (fish, plants, wood, etc) to the tank in the 2 weeks before this started?

Had the fish for 4 months. Tank set up for 6 months. There is a sand substrate in there to its about 50/50 at the moment. All gravel is cleaned when doing water changes. Water changes are done weekly at about 20%. Seachem Prime is added to new water. All levels have been good ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5ppm, ph 7.8 (always been higher live in a hard water area)
Filter is a fluval u4 and pads are cleaned in old tank water to remove large debris.
All other fish are fine and no marks.
Fish is just hiding alot. Apart from that he is eating and seems fine.

I think his barbells are still there. There is sand in the tank, in process of changing it all to sand. He just always seems to be on the gravel area. I am wondering of he is infected and need to treat or if he is being bullied and need to separate. Thank you

Yeah his barbels are fine I just couldn't see them in the first pic. I did not know that you had another thread on this so I didn't know there was a sand area. Have you noticed any bullying of him?
