Help My Clown!

I have just noticed my last clown has a lump on his lower lip and looks like he cant close his mouth. He ate this morning, and is swimming fine at the moment. Just added food and he didnt even look at it but it could be he isn't hungry.

Should I do a quick RO dip. I dont know what it is and what I can do

Weeza, I hate to say this but I dont think there is much you can do - go get your Mum and take him back to the shop, I wouldnt be at all surprised if that whole tank of clowns had something wrong with them

Hi weez.

Your not having much luck are you at the mo.

You can do a plain to dip for a few minutes but bear in mind it can stress the fish out even more.

Personally I would ring up the lfs and tell them that the other clown you purchased also has it so it's o viously a bad batch of fish they have in and should replace both of them for you.

Once again weez, this is not your fault so keep going with your stocking. You've just had a bit of bad luck with your clowns that's all. It happens to all of us at some point.

OK. Too late now to take him back. Shop shuts at 6 and its 30min drive then parking etc I wouldnt et there in time. I will try and get there tomorrow after the horses. They still didnt ring me today. I tried ringing no answer

Any ideas what it could be? Is an RO dip worth a try? Im gutted as he has been fine for days

Thanks woody. Im trying not to blame myself. I just think if I take mum with me to talk to them she is forceful so might get somewhere where I wont be able to be upfront with it!

Just read about lymphocystis it says it isnt fatal but says about lumps, which the other one had. If it had something like this the stress of a move may have been too much for the other fish.

My mum isnt happy about it so I think she won't be very nice to them. Do I take him back then do you guys think if he is still here tomorrow? I am so annoyed about it! Might get mum to demand money back and then go maidenhead

I know its hard, but yes, take him back and set your Mum on the lfs, its what Mums are for
