It looks like it may be swim bladder but I dont think so. I have nver seen it act this way before. It looks like it might be dying. They are no signs of illness anywhere or where it has been hurt. I am cionfused as to what is the matter. RYAN WHERE ARE YOU?????????? I need your help PLEASE

Hi
what are you feeding him on? Usually flaked food is the culprit as it contains gasses that ferment in the gut causing air pockets to form. If he has been feeding from the surface he could be taking in air too.
Also high levels of nitrate can cause fish to flip over so try checking that.
Try starving him for a couple of days to see if the gas goes on its own and then feed boiled, shelled squashed peas by hand to see if this helps clear him out for 3 days.
If it doesnt improve then he could have developed a tumour or deformity of his swimbladder.
Hope some of that helps :)

I had exactly the same thing happen about a year ago in my Black Moor (The original Ritchie - have a new baby one now)
He was fine one day and then swimming upside down etc the next - If i touched him he'd right himself and swim off only to turn over the moment he stopped swimming.

Sorry for this but mine died 3 days later after trying everything

I hope yours recovers and everything is ok
