I've been trying to figure out the name of a fish my parents and I had when I was little. I remember her name was Princess (that helps you alot  ) she was about the size of a swordtail, she was a silver color, and had long flowing fins. Any idea what she was from this vague and confusing description? ;)

I remember she also contracted some type of disease where it looked like she had little bubbles all over her. What could this have been?

The disease sounds like gas bubble disease which is caused by too much oxygen in the water and not enough surface agitation to allow gas exchange. It is more common in very heavily planted "dutch" style tanks with bright lighting (metal halide or halogen lamps) or those with large scale algea problems which recieve too much sunlight.
