I bought 5 "tetra's" earlier today in place of a UDC that I traded in at my LPS.

They didn't have the tanks properly labeld so we had no idea what kind they were. I'll try to get pictures up soon, but it will be Monday before I go back to work and can get the camera to snap some quick shots.

Here is a quick rundown of what they look like.

Their bodies are a clearish grey (you can kinda see thru them). And it has a single small dot right bhind the gills.

Their dorsal and anal fins are a light yellow with black stripe.

And the tail is a clearish red on the inside and a clearish color on the very edges.

The ones I have are quite small..there were some in an adjoining tank that were atleast 1 1/2" long.

I forgot I made a little rendering that sorta resembles the fish. Just the grey areas are rather clear on the actual fish.

Well it's not as fat bodied as the bleeding heart.

The body is shaped like the buenos aires but it's anal fin is not red and the dorsal and anal both have yellow and black on them..but the tail does look like the buenos aries' does.

I think it may be a Pristella. (thanks for the link to that site BTW).

After going through every tetra they had listed, then googling several I thought were similar..I found this picture of a Pristella

And that is pretty much spot on how these guys look. Yes, I'm pretty sure this is what they are.
