Help Me Feel The Joy Of Chiclids

Ok, Im either going to get a 40 gallon aquariums that is shaped like an octigon, or who knows what else. thats what Im probably going to get unless someone tells me I shouldn't. I was thinking of getting a pair of convicts, or another one, I can't really remember the name of the chiclid, I think it was brevis or something. I would probablt only get those fish, and eithre ghost shrimp, coloer pleco, or the albino thingies. And Should I get a rectangle aquarium? does it matter? I probably cant go above 40 gallons

How about buying a book about cichlids first.

Your all over the place and seem extremely unorganized in your thinking of what you want.

Here's one answer anyway - get the rectangle aquarium, the hexagons or octagons or whatever are near useless for cichlids.

Well, only you can choose what you like. So far the two types you mentioned, convicts and brevis, will both work, though they each need very different setups.

Where would you recomend etting them? Most of the all the petstores around here are big name, and usually only have the yellow lab and sometimes convivt cichlids. I don't think they'd just make a special order upon ONE request either. I'm looking at aquabid, and kinda like what im seeing, but where else, and thanks a bundle guys
