I am now ready to stock my 70 liltre ( about 18 us gallon)planted tank. I am moving one of my male dwarf gouramis from my big tank as he is being picked on by the other male gourami. I fancy a few small catfish and possibly a small school of tetras but what else can you recommend? -_- :)

Well you already have quite a few fish planned for your tank. Its best to slowly stock a tank so that the biofilter can keep up and your fish don't end up dying. You have a good start though, a trio of cory cats would be a great idea. They are fun to watch though hard to tell apart, I just use one name for all of mine cuz they look the same to me. A school of tetras looks great in any tank but they should have a school of at least 6 and the larger the school the more pretty it will look. Along with your gourami you already would have ten fish and would be at about the max your tank could have.

I think with gourami's since most petstores only sell males, when you have 2 gourami's they fight. i think it's either one gourami or 3 or more ;) not 100% sure but i am 90% sure

If you are interested in breeding then you out to get a pair of guppies, platies, molies, or swordtails.
