Hi The_Eggman_1972
When you looked at your frogs, did you look at their front "hands," or their back "feet?' This is important because both the little African Dwarf Frogs and the much bigger African Clawed Frogs have webbed back feet. If their "fingers" are long and pointy and there is no webbing between them, they are the big ACFs. Are they brown or albino? If you post a picture, I'll try to identify them for you for sure.
To diagnose what killed your fish, I would need more information such as the size of your tank, number and kinds of fish and frogs, test readings for ammonia, nitrate and nitrite, and the frequency and size of your water changes. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that your frogs killed the fish until I knew better, but they will eat dead fish as will other fish and snails.
It's possible that your fish are dying from a bacterial infection. One symptom of this is the red stomach or red streaks in its fins. This is often due to poor water quality.
If you have young African Clawed Frogs, they could be the cause of the smell, because they are heavy waste producers. Kept by themselves, they do tend to have a distinct smell which gets worse if their tank isn't cleaned frequently. Nevertheless, they can be good pets if their needs are met.
If they are not ACFs, you have a serious problem in your tank and if you post more information, perhaps I, or one of the other members, can help you figure out what is wrong.
