hi all, i really need some help i have a 2ft tank with mollies in it i have 2 males, one semi grown baby and 4 female oh and about 30 fry!!
ive had loads of problems lately with dying fish i lost about 15 over 2 weeks 12 of which were fry, anyway that seems to of subsided now, but most of the remainders now seem to jump quite alot and sort of run their sides on things in the tank they flinch so easily, ive treated for white spot but not sure if thats it, has anyone elses fish suffered similar? if so what is it and what do i buy to treat it? i really dont want to loose anymore mollies or fry, and help would be greatful thanks,
OH also my black male mollie who ive had for ages now, seems to be on the floor an awful lot, he seems alot fatter to, i think he may of ate too many fry, or is it possible he could have swim bladder or something when he does swim he's fine doesnt struggle or anything, again thanks for any advice

It sounds like various issues although with the deaths i'd look into water stats as a main causative factor, have you tested the water recently?
Flashing, death and general illness are all associated with toxicity in the water amongst others....
Have you done a large gravel vac or tank rearrangment recently?
Another common cause of flicking but less easily noticed is piscinoodinium, i'd google this, i'm off to work soon, can't really go into detail.
The Black Molly sounds like dropsy although that isn't 100%, is there any lifting of its scales, here is a link to a topic with a fair(ish) post on dropsy;

I'd quarantine (if available to you) the Black Molly on the off chance it is dropsy and it related to a bacterial infection.
Good luck.
