Recently acquired some fish from my dads friend who was giving up fishkeeping. Dad got the tank and I got the guys fish for my new tank which has had just my Gibbiceps Pleco in since August who's getting lonely. The fish were 2 Silver Dollars, a Crosby (Opaline) Gourami and these 2 mysterious but beautiful fish which I'm sure are some form of cichlid but couldn't identify them. There are two of them, both reasonably large, 4-5 inches long each with broad lips, spiky top fins with a tinge of red and a whole range of colours including speckles of blue and black. They are quite peaceful but quite reserved, staying separately under the bogwood and under cover. They don't seem too fond of each other but there's no fights. They are beautiful, the second one is mainly blue, a bit bigger and has blue tinges on the fins and main body. I got a pic for you as well, not the best quality with scratches on the glass but if you could identify what sort of cichlid this is please as I have no idea!
