help i really need it

Today I got home from school and found that most of the water from my tank had gone on the floor and I do know why.
I need a new filter, so never mind the story, I need to know what is a good filter for my 5 gal tank.
Well I will wait for feedback, I'm and wondering if i can live with out a filter. I bet not

i run an aquaclear mini (100) on my 5 gallon tank

it filters 100gph on high setting and doesn't create much disturbance

My betta's been fine in there for a few months now
