Just found out that two of peppermint shrimp are carrying large quantities of eggs and I have no idea what to do about it? I can't imagine having 400 shrimp running around in my small 30 gallon tank (if they survive). I don't have any fish that would eat them, only a few hermit crabs, an emerald crab and one large coral banded shrimp. Anyone have any suggestions what I should do about this? Should I just let them hatch and take over the aquarium or should I get rid of the shrimp somehow in order to avoid a population explosion? Or should I get a particular type of fish that would enjoy them?

Thanks!

The babies won't make it. Just food for corals and other filter-feeders. :)

Have you had any problems with your coral banded? I haven't kept one but from what I've read they will eat other shrimp and crabs.

CBS are territorial, I've heard differing reviews RE their antagonism towards other shrimp. It can work in many cases.
