Ok...where to start, have a beautiful red claw crab, and glass shrimp, and apple snail, in my community tank of , 4 rummy nose tetra's, 4 glowlight tetra's , 4 danios, and a plec, and 2 catfish......

Have just noticed my rummynose tetra has a white spot on it's fin......

what can I do to get rid of this , whithout killing , my crab, shrimp and snail?

I don't have anywhere else to put them, only other tank i have has african dwarf frogs and goldfish in it, coldwater. :( any advice would be welcome.

How big is the spot? Has it multiplied since you last posted?

If it's ich and isn't spreading, just increase the number of water changes and add a little bit of stress coat. You could also raise the temperature to over 80 degrees and give the fish meds for ich. Don't do this unless you're sure it's ich, because raising the temp can cause stress.

What size is your tank, by the way? Do you know what those "catfish" are?

By the way, you can add those fish to your signature. Go to my controls at the right side at the top of the page and go to edit signature.

:hi: to the forum if I haven't replied to your post (if you have one) in the newbie section.

if it is ich you can turn up your heater to 85 degrees this will kill off the freeswimmers to you dont have to add any medicine at all when you turn up your heater and without any medicine your other stuff wont be getting sick either. Leave it at 85 degrees for a week or so and that is all you need to do. and good luck
