Help Hardscaping =(

i have a single piece of drift wood in a 10 gallon tank, I like the drift wood, im going for the natural look. but i was told that the tank is lacking some basic hard scaping ive been focusing on plants so much that ive kinda forgotten that and i would like some tips and ideas please thank you. is it me or that peice of drift wood is too big or ?

I think the wood looks great. If your tank is going to be heavily planted, then hardscape isn't necessary, you're fish will use the plants for shelter. If you look at dutch style aquariums, they have little to zero hardscape.
 
I wouldn't mind adding something tho it does seem a bit naked to me.
 
Of course, this is just my personal taste, but I would flip the bogwood over 180 degrees and have the heavier part on the bottom and the small "branch" looking part pointing upwards.
