Hi all, I posted about a month and a bit ago about my guppies being quite large. I have since taken the advice of treating them with Praziquantel. I've had them on a full month cycle (once a week and cleaning the tank) and nothing has changed! One has died since but she had a few babies before she went. I don't know what to do and it looks like two of them have gotten bigger!!

But are you sure that they've got worms to start with?

I have had a discussion before with many guppy owners and they all said the same thing, intestinal worms. They've been this big for about 6 months when I was given them, and I have no idea how long they were that big before. I assumed they were pregnant at first because that's what the woman who gave them to me told me. She didn't take care of them at all, the tank was covered in algae (about half a cm thick) I didn't even know there were fish in there when I was picking the tank up to be honest but I want them to live and be healthy!! They have long stringy poo which comes out in all colours - dark brow, light brown and a whiteish colour and they are ALWAYS super hungry. I don't know what to do or use!

Well, white waste does suggest most of the time worms. That's true...

Hello :)
Give them very small pieces of fresh garlic, effective against worms.
I've dewormed my Betta with garlic his whole life :)

I swear !
In addition to prevent vampires from entering your home (duh!) small pieces of fresh garlic pellet sized is an effective dewormer. You should give them before other food making sure they eat it.

Praziquantel only treats tapeworm (flat worms). Livebearers from Asia usually have thread/ round worms. Try Levamisole or Flubendazole. Levamisole is for round/ thread worms. Flubendazole is meant to treat round and flat worms.
