I noticed one of my red flame dwarf gouramis lying on the gravel of my tank this evening. When I took a closer look I saw another dwarf gourami attacking the sick fish. I immediately moved the red flame to a quarantine tank I already had set up in hopes of saving this fish. I noticed the fish was trying to swim and couldn't...he looked crippled. Upon closer inspection I noticed that one of his fins had been chewed in half. Is there anything I can do? The only medications I have on hand now are BettaFix and Stress Coat and Ich Away. Would any of those help? (I added Stress Coat already.) Can a fish grow a fin back or is this little guy doomed? :-(

awww, what a bummer. But no fear, fins can grow back  Bettafix would be good because it has melaleuca tree oil in it, which is good for aiding damaged fins.Use that and keep the water in tip top shape and he should be well in no time. :)

My 2 dwarf gourami only argue at feeding time usualy but i bought some floating plants the other day and the all settled on the right hand side of the tank!
I t started a massive feud and the left hand gourami was attacking the right hand gorami!

Had to split the plants up and share them to stop the fighting and now peace is restored!

Hope your gourami gets better!

I'm sorry to hear that too :( It was obviously more than finrot though. Internal parasites are swarming in gouramis lately, maybe that's why he was feeling down in the first place :(
