Help From Eheim Canister Owners

I recently purchased a 2228 and 2229 from my LFS.

They were used and missing a few parts, so I bought all the replacement parts
and got them running again.

Im having a problem though. The 2228 is leaking from the seams where the top place attaches to the cannister. Im trying to figure out why?

The rubber seal piece looks like its in good shape and fits snuggly. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Although the seal looks ok, it may have minute cracks in it.
My advise is buy a replacement seal and fit it as per instructions.

Hey.
The problems is really is to fix.
It happened on both my 2 new eheims.

Gut some hose about 1/2 long.
Slice it down the middle.
Put it over the locking hooks on the top part of the canister. (where the pump is)
Clamp it down and your done.

It adds a bit more clamping pressure.

Fixed both of mine up
