I have a 12-gal eclipse and I have just noticed a lip parasite or fungus on one of my zebra danios. It is a white bump on the bottom lip of the fish. He is the only fish with it. I was wondering if someone could help me and tell me how I should treat it? What medication to use? How to use the medication? Thanks for the help...I appreciate it.

I think it might be called cotton mouth. I was reading about this melafix...does anybody know how it works?

It sounds like a Columnaris infection (mouth fungus/cotton wool disease)
Perform a 50% water change, thne treat with an anti fungal medication. Raise the temp to 82F and within a week it should be cured, then you can lower the temp back to its normal level.
