My planted tank is set up for 3 1/2 weeks. I stock some 100 small fish 2 weeks ago. Most appear healthy and feeding well.
The water is tested NO2 <0.2ppm, NO3 <5 ppm.

I lost 4 more fish during the pass 2 days.
All fish appeared fat and have good appetite just 1 - 2 days before sudden death. The unaffected fish appear normal and have good appetite.

Initially I thought my tank is not properly cycled or I have too much CO2, then I notice the fish has some discoloration on the body like the way my zebra died.

Is this the same virus?
Now one of my long fin angel seemed to be infected. It is loosing appetite and move slowly.
Will this virus kill off all my fish? What can I do to save them?

Guppy recently waste away. It was happy and eating just 2 days ago.

Zebra previously died (2 weeks ago)

The second looks like saddleback columnaris. The first, may be an internal parasit if they are wasting. Use a broad spectrum treatment as columnaris is bacterial, and parasites are treated with different meds, but a broad spectrum treats both.

Hi, both fish were feeding well 2 days prior to the infection. Both fish has discoloration on the top front portion of the back. The death appeared swift. At first the fish seemed to lose appetite and mobility. They just float about the surface of the water and dies within days. Will the disease wipe out my whole tank? What should I do now? It is a big planted tank.

Looks like columnaris to me. Yes this can wipe out your entire tank. Here is what you should do.
1st slowly lower the temperature of the tank to 72-74*F
2nd up the airation in the tank (add an airstone if you don't have one/ add another one if you do)
3rd treat with Maracyn and Maracyn two by Mardel

Also I have a feeling your tank has not cycled yet. You said that your NO2 is .2 and your NO3 is 5. Do you know your NH3/NH4 reading (ammonia)?

I check again this morning. NO2 is 0.02 not 0.2 and NO3 is between 3 - 5.
I will get an NH3 test this morning.

Can I treat Maracyn in a planted tank?
I just lost one angel last night.
I took it out to treat in a bucket with airstone.
This morning it is already gone.
