no i dont think so but i have noticed that he is not moving his right fin much an is not movin bac tail much but dorsall fin is up an wont leave the top at the surface of the water
5. are there any tank mates
no i might get some when tanks sorted out
6. are you treating the water (ie dechlorinating it)no
7. what do you normally feed it
fish flakes
please help dont thinks hes gunna make it though the night
1. really need to know how much water this tank holds cause it sounds much too small for one coldwater fish never mind any more tank mates.
2 and 6. any water going into the tank needs to be treated with dechlor to help remove any heavy metals or additives that our lovely water authority puts into it, or at the very least left standing over night for chemicals to evap from it.
3. if you haven't had it long did you take time to adjust it to the new tank, did you slowly add the new tank water to his bag, if not then please ask about that before buying any more fish in the future.
4. OK if no fungus then it sounds like a bacterial infection in his guts and possibly he injured his fins when you put him into his tank or at a later stage. I'm not a coldy keeper but there must be some meds you can give a cold water fish, go to the pet shop and tell them what is happening and see what they recommend, but a bit of salt to the tank won't come to any harm, not table salt you need aquatic salt so go to the LFs anyway for that at least.
The tank needs a water change, you need to get a filter in there and better still a bigger tank, blackamoors can get quite large (i've seen some that get too big for a mans hand to hold so please be aware of this for the future). Provide some aeration to get oxygen into the water for him.
Good luck and I hope he pulls through.
