Hi I'm definately getting the v2 400 today and I've heard that during thier first couple of hours they can over flow well if that happens toe it'll pee all over my plugs etc what should u do?

Get a couple of towels and put them over ur plugs, or put a plastic box over them?

They dont overflow if you ajust them right, mine has never.

Start on the lowest water settings, and only move it up a few mm at a time. Then leave it a while then move up again. The bubbles want to be about 1/3rd of the way up the cup. Dont do it all in one go though or it will overflow!

Agreed, start low and dial it in slowly. A cheap plastic box with a side cut off it would be pretty nice added safety too.

Ok got v2 400 didn't fit in the rear compartment so taking I back tommorow to my disapointment inteasd I was thinking of that nano tunze skimmer but Is it much better than my boyu one?

Most of the time when you hear horror stories about the V2 range overflowing is due to human error at set-up. The pump comes with an In-Line tap connector. They either omit this little tap from the set-up or they leave it fully open. Half close the tap at the pump to begin with and run your skimmer using the regulator dial on the skimmer body. If you need more umph then open the pump tap a little more until you find a happy medium. This is all part of the initial set-up process, they are not plug & play.
Also if you are using a bubblestop clean and replace the white filter matting regularly and don't shove the corrugated return pipe too deeply into the box.
