HELP DYING FISH

Hi my molly is on the bottom of the tank he looks like he can’t breath properly he can’t swim either he try’s to get to the top when there feeding but he just can’t do it please help I don’t know what to do for the best I think it could ick and if that’s the case and it’s in his gills will he get better or just get worse should I let nature take it’s corse or should I put him out of his misery thanks he’s been like this for 3 days now

Test the water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
