I am confused and stressed out, i seem to be getting sick fish week after week.
My water readings are normal
I changed the tank water and suck the gravel once a week and changed and rinse my filters every 4 weeks.
I will list below what problems i have got, the first 4 are my recent problems:
*Platy gasping at surface, eyes buldging and raised scales.
*2 Platys with white patches and small white lumps on tail fin with tiny holes..
*Platy with top lip missing and gasping.
*Platy with dropsy, looking long and thin, tail down, bulding eyes.
Previously:
6 Platys died from dropsy.
1 Tetra died from gasping and loosing water balance.
1 White tetra died from a small hole developing in back fin and spreading towards body, ended up with a huge gap.
1 Ruby barb was fine at 8pm and dead by 10pm upside down at the top of tank,no obvious symptoms before.
1 Platy was fine 1 minute, darted round the tank and dead within 2 minutes, no obvious symptoms before.
I added anti-bacterial treatment for these previous problems.

At the moment for my recent problems i have added salt to prevent more disease and also velvet and slime control because some symptoms of fish were discribed on the treatment box.
Please can someone help as i cant take anymore fish getting ill and i want to sort this problem a.s.a.p.
Thankyou
:)

Right need size of tank in gallons, plus full fish list of how many and which type, test result in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, you don't clean the sponges in the filter do you, you have alot of bacterial infections there.

My tank is 180litre 36 gallons
Fish:
15 platys (most small 1-2 months old, 4 adult)
3 white widow tetras
3 ruby barbs
2 loaches
Test results:
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 10
ph 7.9
I rinse the sponges in the old fish water and replace the inner filter poly pad.
Thankyou for your helpful link :)

What type of loaches are they?I would do some water changes and add the anti internal bacteria med back again, i would phone interpet up or email then and ask if you could double dose, as you have a very bad bacteria infection in there.

They are chinese alge eaters , they hav'nt caused any problems yet and i am keeping an eye on them.
I noticed you said INTERNAL bacteria control, i have been adding just anti-bacterial control.
They are due their water changed on friday, so i will buy some internal anti-bac and added it then.
Thankyou for your help :)

I would preform a few daily water changes from now to help with the bacteria infection, interpet do a anti internal bacteria med.

Or this one as it treats a wide range of illness, the finrot fungus and bacteria med.
