Help Choosing 1 Of These Filters Please

hi everyone i have a 120 fish tank that i am hopeing to breed anglefish in the future i have a sponge filter in the tank but would like to purchase an external filter as well i have a budget of £60 and have seen these filters for around that price

INTERPET EPF 250 EXTERNAL FILTER

FLUVAL 205 EXTERNAL FILTER

FLUVAL 305 EXTERNAL FILTER

i like the idea of having the flow rate adjustment on the interpet one this filter will be going in a fish tank in my livingroom so i would like a quiet one.

which one should i get any help would be appreciated thanks robert.

Hi there...

I think that the fluval 205 will be a good filter for that size of tank. You might not want to get the fluval 305 as the current will blow everything out of it way... I think the 205 will be heaps... it will keep your tank nice and clean

Have you also considered the excellent eheim ecco? Froogle'd for about £55.

hi again thanks for your advice when i was looking for the best price on the fluval 205 i found a website selling the eheim 2222 pro for £53.99 and decided to buy this instead as i have a eheim pro2 2028 already and have had no problems from it here is the website that i bought the eheim 2222 from just incase anyone is looking for 1

Get an Eheim, trust me. I have angels in my 55g with a Eheim and it works great....

But with cost being an issue aquaclear HOB are my favorite HOBs...

If you have the option of an Eheim, a Classic or Pro, then go for it. The ECCO range are not the same build quality as the others, but compete well with the other makes you mention, it is, after all, why they introduced them.
