Which setup would you choose

24 Gallon aquapod with the p/c with a maxijet 1200 24 pounds of lr

or

A 20 gallon long
aquaclear 110 fliter
2x65 watt power compact
2 maxijet 1200
skimmer of some sort any suggestions?
20 pounds of lr

I wouldnt bother with a skimmer on a tank that small, not really necessary

ok but do you have any imput on the tank choice the only real difference is the light and the layout

What setup you choose depends entirely on what you're looking at keeping and how much you want to spend.

I would say pick your ideal stocking list then design your tank around your stocking.

I'm not too sure but SH keeps on banging on (lol) about how a 20 long is an ideal starter tank


I must admit the aquapods and other cubes are lovely though

I would pick the cube as I have the JBJ one and l love it, really smart lil tank, just bin all the bio balls and get some decent activated carbon for the rear filter chambers, add a decent powerhead and its perfect

I would go with a cube if you like depth and a 20long if you like longer tanks.

I personally would go with a 20long more space for the fish and makes it look bigger
