I have a black lyretail male molly about 5 months old, and he has got a bulgy eye.
He bred so I ended up with loads of fry, so I put him in my sister's tank. She hadn't cleened it out for a while, and last night she noticed one of her gouramis was dead. That was when I noticed the bulging eye, it kind of sticks right out and is covered with a kind of blue film.
She did a water change straight away, and her ammonia was 0.25 and her nitrite was 5, so way too high. So, is there anyone who knows what this is and how or if I can treat it? There isn't any salt added to the water, and we use Aquasafe to dechlorinate.
