Well, i've been waiting for my danio to lay her eggs...

I have my female danio (she is egg bearing, and is very fat), in a breeding tank along with my male danio (both are zebra danios), but they just wont seem to spawn

I just fed them some freeze-dried bloodworms this evening, and the female wont let the male eat anything... everytime he goes to grab a bite, the female starts chasing him around.... the female seems to eat all the food i put into the tank.

I've had them in there for about 4 days now, and they still havent spawned... i had them in the tank eariler too, for about 4 days also, and i removed the male for a few days, then i put the male back in the breeding tank, and as stated above, its been 4 days, again, and they still havent spawned...

I have them in a 10 gallon breeding tank, with a divider in the middle.
I have a sponge filter on both sides of the breeding tank...

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

you could try a 25% water change and add slighty warmer water on the refill (simulates tropical rain storm)
if that fails try the same the next day with water as cold as it comes out the tap.

Ok, well this morning when i turned on the lights, the male seems to be chasing the female around (its usualy the other way around, the female chasing the male), so i THINK they might be spawning, i will wait a few hours and see.

If it fails, this evening i'll do a 25% water change with warmer water.
