Hi everyone, I'm a complete newbie, and neither do I know much about tropical fish

(   I have had an acquarium for about a year now, with no major problems, but recently my black tetra has begun to behave strangely - it no long swims, but just seems to hang  suspended, vertically, making constant jerking motions but staying in one place. I have a video but can't upload it here of course as the file is way too large.  He cannot seem to lower his head to swim straight and at feeding time, cant locate where the food is, though he tries to head for the general direction, but then just stops and hangs vertically again, with the same constant jerking motion. Sorry I can't explain this better!  Any thoughts?  Many thanks.

this could be a few things, improper acclimation, shock, stress, improper water quality, a swim bladder issue. Whats your tank size and parameters, a pic would help 2

Upload the video to youtube and post the link here.
