Well I have a newly cycled (fishless cycle) 50 gallon tank with 6 black skirts, 1 platy, 2 mollies, 6 cories and some neons. I started with 10 now down to 7. I wasn't sure what was causeing it until tonight I saw the gang of Black Skirts ganging up on one neon tetra. I do have rocks and other hiding places but aparently not enough.

All the info I have found seems to point to these getting along but they don't seem to be in this tank. I stuck some huge plastic plants in there and I am hoping that this will prevent more deaths. (they came with the tank and are pretty ugly).

I could do a tank divider but they are even uglier than those plastic plants, I will though if that's what needs to be done.

Please help!

Hmmm, strange I've personally never seen tetras attack each other, except for exodons. I would try the plants, because after all they schooling fish that like to be in the middle and top of the tank. i think they would be more likely to hide amongst the tall plants than in the lower hide outs decorations. If worse comes to worse you'll have to remove them or put up the divider.
