Help Angelfish Spawned Need Help

hi my angelfish have reached maturity and have spawned today this is the females second time. this time they are protecting them and fanning them. they spawned on one of my large leafed plants.

i was wondering wherether to cut of the leaf and place it in a breeder net as i only have one tank
would this work?

Any help plz?

Forget the breeder net, that won't work. It's a long shot with one tank, as any other fish in your community tank will try to eat the eggs, wigglers, or fry. If any amount do survive you will need more tank space, as each dime size angel needs 1/2 gallon. A small spawn is 200 fry, so that gives you some idea about tank space.

They will spawn every 7 to 14 days, so I would just let the eggs be. If you do get some survivors you will need to set up a bbs hatchery, as the fry need live micro food for the first week at the very least.

Plan ahead a little, set up a hatching tank & some growout tanks, and you are good to go. Make sure you have some buyers, buy used equipment, a growout tank doesn't need to be made out of glass.
