Hi all,
I’ve had 2 angelfish for about a year now that seem to have been getting along well until a week ago. One of the angelfish bit off the others stabilising fin and I moved it to another tank expecting it to die as it’s swimming became worse and worse.
It has been a week since then and it is still alive. It lays on the bottom of the tank all day long, moving periodically onto its other side and trying to swim to the surface but has not been able to swim all the way to the top.
I am worried it is going to starve and don’t know what else to do,
If you have any advice please let me know. Thank you.

I'm not an expert in angelfish but this fish looks like it's suffering, if there's been no improvement since you moved it you may need to euthanise it for its own benefit.

Any chance of a video of the fish?
You can upload videos to YouTube, then copy & paste the link here.
If you use a mobile phone to film the fish, hold the phone horizontally (landscape mode) so the footage fills the entire screen and doesn't get black bars on each end.

Which fin got eaten off, one on the side of the body, on top, on the bottom?

You can try live brineshrimp (available from pet shops) but if the fish doesn't eat that, then I would euthanise it. Normally when fish stop eating and lay on the bottom, they are on their way out.

You need to remove the flake food form the tank otherwise it will rot and cause ammonia problems that will speed up the fish's demise.

The fish may have had an issue and the other fish decided to pick at it after it sank to the bottom.
