Ok so finally got my lovely bettas in a 10g (uk) divided tank however... i though i know ill put a divider in then use a bit of plastic so i can control if they can see eachother or not.


Now for me getting glass cut using silicone was an achievement cos at im terrible at anything vaguely diy like.


I was proud of my work but the tank is bow fronted and the gap is big enough for one of the females to get though so far ive caught her 3 times and its starting to get aucward... i have a plastic bag between the two sides and she is still finding a way through the gap

any ideas as to how to block it temporarily till shes grown a bit or do i just get to play catch all the time

See if you can wad up some cotton or a clean rag, and I would try to stuff that in there.

How big is the gap? I know those bettas can try to squeeze through small spaces.

Are you able to maybe wedge a thick bunch of java moss or ricca in the gap?

just get one of those plastic candy boxes and cut out the shape you want, be careful, plastic is sharp
