Hi, newbie needs to ask a silly question!

Just bought an external filter, and didn't realise that there was a spray bar that needed to be out of the water. Is it possible to use it below the water?

Any help would be most appreciated!

It can absolutley be under the waterline. No problem :good:

yeah as mentioned the spray bar can go underwater, mine is.

Also you can adjust the angle of the spray bar so the surface of the water gets good agitation therefore providing good oxygenation.

In my son's room I often adjust the spray bar up and down daily, noiser waterfall with better surface agitation during the day, more submerged with quieter agitation during the night so he can fall asleep more easily.

Underwater is just fine, BUT be careful during maintenence.... I have often found fish in my filter where they are either nosey, or get sucked in during "priming" ! Just keep an eye out when the filter is off (I now put a net over the outlet when its off)
