So unfortunately the pet shop o bought these 2 cichlids from dont have a clue I recently did more research to find out what they are and I have a guess and this ones an mbuna and one peacock they are in a long 115l tank but will be moved to a 300l in the future if you could identify them that would be great if they are as i suspect should I get a fee more peacock or mbuna to level out the aggression I know it's not ideal to have them together but its temporary many thanks

The peacock will be hard to ID at this size. Most peacocks look very similar as juveniles. (little color and vertical bars) If it's male, it'll show color as it gets bigger. It's likely a common species.

Second picture looks like albino auratus.

I don't know about the second one but agree the first is a peacock. Perhaps it's the very common aulonocara stuartgranti (red peacock cichlid). Just a thought.

Yeah, certainly looks like a stuartgranti.... Gotta wait till it colors up to say which one though.

This might be a better picture of the albino

If one is mbuna and one a peacock should I get more peacocks as mbuna are more aggressive

I see i thought they could be both peacocks they do get along quite well
They probably won't bother each other till they get a little older. How big of a tank is it? The albino one won't get as big as the peacock and could get bullied.
