Fish Fanatic
Reef tank has been running for 5+ years. Fire angel, yellow tang, and mandarin goby all doing great. Mushrooms thriving everywhere. >40 lbs beautiful live rock. Heater, skimmer, pumps included.
Needs new light. Also, I suggest a new acrylic tank...although the purple algae can be scraped off, a new acrylic would make this an outstanding setup.
Must sell (essentially give away) asap. $100 makes it yours

This was the ad on a local lfs message board. It's a 40 US gallon tank. The hitch is, I would be making my first jump into saltwater with this tank. Seems strange that it has no light, and that he is recommending a completely new tank for it all? Even still, it's probably a good deal just in equipment, but I have no extra tank lying around that would be a suitable replacement at this point. And I know metal hallides are expensive as well...
Interested in any and all opinions/ thoughts on the matter! I'm thinking that it's a better first step - taking over an already established tank.... but it would still have to be a quick learning process for me, just in proper upkeep.
Thanks all!
