Hiya.
Just joined the forum to see whats changed over the last few years!
Had tropical fish since 1991, but our last house was not suitable really space wise for a tank etc, so it was left at mum & dads who took ownership lol they have now closed it down and at some point will pick it up.
Our new house has all the space and after 4 years of fixing it up, live stock can be slowly added to our family.
My wife just went ahead and bought a 15l tank from pets at home without thinking about it, and was not impressed when i said a gold fish wouldn't be suitable, so she got some minnows. I bought her a 50l tank so she could have her fancy gold fish.........this means I can finally buy myself a nice big tank, most likely a Fluval shaker as the cabinets look nicer than some of the Jewel ones which are a bit too 'modern' for our old farm house.
May get my old one back from parents at some point as well.
Marine has always been a goal, but as I said to the wife to burst that bubble as quickly as possible, (when she got all excited looking at the 'Nemo and Dory' type fish at the local aquatic shop) that is really a tank if you work at home or retired due to the work involved - I'm a field engineer so away a lot of the time.
