Hello tropical fish fans,
I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am not exactly new to the hobby. In fact I inherited the love for aquarium fish from my late father, and set up several tanks of my own after moving in to my current home in Maryland around 1998. Over the years I have kept several species and bred a few as well. I currently have a 37G with several mature anglefish and a 20G breeding tank with a mated pair of koi angles and about 50 youngsters (the parents are to be moved to the community tank, as the young ones are starting to bother them).
I recently got my wife to agree to have an additional 55G tank which I intend to populate with discus fish. I hope I'll be able to handle these fish well.

Regards,

Gil Fuchs

Hello from a fellow newbie to the forum!

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Discus need a bigger tank, minimum size tank for them is 4 foot long x 2 foot wide x 2 foot high. They are also vegetarian so feed them lots of plant based foods and have lots of live plants in their tank.
