Hello, I'm new here! So I thought I'd introduce myself,
I'm 27, a stay at home mom with a 4 year old daughter. Me, my daughter, and husband all love animals, we currently have fish, a hermit crab, an (albino?) Leopard Gecko, and a dog, we did have hamsters but sadly we gave one away due to fighting, and the other passed away.
I have always enjoyed fish keeping, and watching them them thrive and grow! I am now running multiple tanks, my largest for Tropical, as well as two smaller Betta and Snail tanks. My Tropical tank also features plants and a Betta. He is (now) very tolerant of the others and gets on well with his tank companions.
It all actually started with Bettas.
I had got a Betta to have a small tank, thinking it'd be easy to tend to and my daughter and I could enjoy watching him. I soon found myself diving deep into research to learn as much as I could about them! Later on I decided to try and introduce tank mates, as I did that, I once again found myself enjoying doing research related to each and every member of our tank.
Not to long ago, I unfortunately lost my original Betta. But I've gotten many different fish over the years, and am continuing to grow my knowledge and experience with different types of fish and I've also recently started growing tank plants.
I think at some point I may start to experiment with breeding, try my hand at it, as I love getting the small guys and helping/watching them grow and developing their personalities.
My 4yo often helps out and also loves learning about fish, so it's something we bond over.
Anyway, I figured if I'm gonna keep trying to learn as much as I can about our Fishy Friends, why not join a forum, and get to know others who enjoy fish keeping as much as I do, and learn from them as well!
Thank you if you took the time to read this, it's a pleasure to meet you all!

I'm so new here. I don't know all the basics yet, but here are pictures of my first betta, Inigo, he was amazing great around any fish, he would allow me and my husband to touch him and hand feed him, unfortunately I don't have any good quality ones I can find at the moment, these are from when I first bought him

My silly boy Helio, who lives in the main tank. Took time and practice to get him used to being around other fish, he is the biggest any of mine have ever gotten. Had him for about 2 years now. He is a lazy guy, likes to hide and lay around on things, I'll include some of his favorite lounge spots, as well as a photo of Helio and Inigo both in a divider tank

This is Fiesta, I think it's actually a male, but don't I know and didn't name it, was given to me. Actually if anyone could tell me exactly what type of Betta, Fiesta is and maybe the gender as well, I'd be very grateful!

And last but not least, This is Donald, I do believe it's a male, but don't I know and didn't name it, was given to me as well, by the same person as Fiesta was. If anyone could tell me exactly what type of Betta, Fiesta and/or Donald are, and maybe the gender as well, I'd be very grateful!

I know for certain Helio is, and pretty confident Donald is. The lady who gave them to me said Fiesta is a female and a $40 dollar Betta, so I don't know what type, but I was like I'm pretty sure that's a make as well lol
I think Helio is a Halfmoon, if I recall the label correctly when I bought him
May I see your Betta?
