Yes, I have a 5 gallon Marineland portrait aquarium with 3 tetras. Where is the best place to ask basic questions? I have a hard time keeping my fish alive and don't know what is wrong.

For emergencies including illness, injury, tank malfunctions, e.t.c, you can head to the Tropical Emergencies section.

Do you have a liquid test kit?

If so, what are your water parameters, if no, then get one asap?

How often are you doing water changes, and what percentage change?

If you are changing with tap water, are you treating the water to remove chlorine, chloramine?

What are the symptoms of your fish? Post pics if possible.

Yes I have an API master test kit, all parameters are acceptable range. 1/4-1/2 water change every two weeks minimum. Yes, changing with treated tap water
