I have only had it two week or so so still setting it up,just added 10 plants thursday,a week before that I put in 6 zebra type fish as recommended as they are hardy and good to get your tank going.

You will prob. Want to take back the zebrafish until you have cycled. Take a look at some of the pinned topics on cycling your tank.

I have set the tank up as per instructions and conditioned the tap water with tap safe and left for ten days,took water to shop had it tested and he said ok to put a few in to get the tank going?

putting water in a tank and leaving it wont cycle it (there's so much bad info out there for beginners) you need to add a source of ammonia.

Forgot to add had filter running also with correct amount of filter start added (bateria).

Was thinking of leaving another week then maybe add some tetras ? The tank is 120 ltrs

I would give it a couple more weeks. Stocking slowly will ensure that your fish are okay.

Wich tetras do you want to add?

Hi,sorry just been reading about the fishless cycling OMG I had no idea and just been given advice on what to do.
I read some interesting stuff by a lady on here that has opened my eyes a fair bit already.
My fish are in there now so I think I will leave them,I will be buying a water testing kit asap!

I was thinking maybe some tetras I saw in the shop they were orange and silver beautiful fish,I think I will leave it though as long as I can.

Yah most tetras are pretty. Have you considered lemon tetras?

I have never heard of them are they hardy fish?
Will google now and take a look.

They lookreal nice the ones I saw were glowlight tetras

I love glowlight tetras! They are very hardy and look great in schools.
