Hello everyone,
I am new to fishkeeping. I decided to start small and purchased a 10 gallon tank about three weeks ago. I used Bio Spira to cycle it and have in it one male betta. His name is Garrett. He's doing very well so far! My previous experiment with fish was when I was about 10 years old, and it went really bad. So this time, I've been reading lots about how to keep fish properly and not make the same mistakes I made last time.
About myself: I'm a flight instructor and really love flying! That's my main interest. I also like to read, cook, and take in movies.

Thanks for the welcome! I did post one question already on the beginner question forum regarding changing my filter cartridge. I've also been trying to read about fish from several different sources and weighing the different advice.

There are quite a few of us here that have returned to fish-keeping after a long time away. Hard hobby to give up, entirely, and seems to call to us to return .

I gave up my pilot's license years ago - another hobby that is difficult to stay away from-- I keep hearing it call to me as well.
