Hi guys just to say a big hello to everyone. These forums look awesome!

I have had a fish tank for 1 year now 60L Juvel. I have some guppys, 1 angel fish, 1 bristlnose algae eater (forgot its real name!) and 2 zebra loaches.

looking to upgrade my tank soon though!

welcome. but wrong fish for that type of tank. angels get too big, and need a deep tank, bristlenoses get to around 14cm, so tank to small and zebra loaches get to 8-10cm so again tank to small. where abouts are you? as i will be selling my 120l in about a month.

The only fish in my tank that has grown over one year is the angel fish. I am quite aware of how big they get and my tank size and I am always keeping an eye out on them. not 1 has died yet andI have had 0 problems for 1 year. I am in Woking

thats what i am, no but he/she is local and i will be selling my tank so if they are interested then fair enough. its worth helping other members out, rather than trawling through AC or ebay, come on, we have all done it! trawling sucks!

lol, ignore the nick written on the glass, t'was done with a wet finger not permanent!!!! its an old photo, i have more plants now, that have filled the tank etc.

Just joking mate, but you have to admit it does sound so much like a LFS sale speech, "your tank is too small.... your tank is too small.... your tank is too small.... and over here sir we just so happen to have a larger tank that I guess we could sell to you"

The one big difference? The LFS will just be trying to sell you a tank, where as Nick is actually giving good advice and trying to be helpful - it just amused me

Just joking mate, but you have to admit it does sound so much like a LFS sale speech, "your tank is too small.... your tank is too small.... your tank is too small.... and over here sir we just so happen to have a larger tank that I guess we could sell to you"

The one big difference? The LFS will just be trying to sell you a tank, where as Nick is actually giving good advice and trying to be helpful - it just amused me

it does sound a bit dodgy now i read back, but its the truth, im not here to make money but to help those who have questions or need help as im sure a lot of us are. oh dont get me started on LFS's. (or ludwig for that matter ) i went in for a small 1.50 pack of salt and they tried flogging me a tank, i was like you are preaching to a converted crowd mate, i have just bought a biger tank!

newdigate, 5 miles from dorking. i havent a clue yet, becuase it will be a while yet. i have to transfer the fish accross and the filter etc. make me an offer. pm me.
