Hi

I'm new on this site and would like some advice! I have a tropical fish tank that I have had for two years. About 3 weeks ago I brought 3 Plattys from a fish supplier I do not usually use, 2 died in the first couple of days, I put this down to stress. The next day my other fish started dying, since then at least 1 fish dies every day. I am at a loss to what is causing this. Does anyone know of a disease or infection that can cause fish to die with no symptons. I have lost catfish, fighter fish, all types of tetra, they all look fine when I go to bed and then in the morning another is dead. It's really odd I've never seen anything like it before. I have had my water checked and it is normal.

Please help!!

Hello and welcome to the forum. :hi:

Sorry to hear about your problems. It is usually a good idea to quarantine new fish for 2 to 4 weeks before adding them to your tank (especially if it is a store you haven't bought from before or one you just don't trust) just incase they are carrying a disease. I'm not very familiar with the different diseases. Try posting in the "Emergencies" section. They will maybe be able to help you more there. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum!!! :) How old is your tank?

You should go back to your LFS and ask for a refund. Most fish shops will give you atleast store credit. Also take a sample of your tank water along so they can check and make sure that the cause is not poor water quality.
