I have been lurking for a while. But I figured it's time to come out.
I just got my first tank two weeks ago. My only previous experience with fish is from catching them. (I know, BOOOO, HISSS) Then my wife got our son a Betta. After a week or so I felt sorry for him in that tiny bowl. So I upgraded his home to a 10 gallon condo. And I got three Platties to keep him company. And now I got a Kuhli Loach to keep the gravel clean. So far it has been a lot of fun. And so a new addiction begins.
Good luck, sounds like a good set-up and be careful.....if you are already starting to look at fish with every trip to Walmart or making a side trip "just to look" and the nearest Petco or equivelent than you are already showing signs of the addiction. And whatever you do....don't say it can't happen to you!
Good luck w/ this new hobby. It really is fun and highly addictive.
I started off with a five gallon, then spent over $150 (no job and meager allowance) on a 55 and 10 gallon. I'm broke now, yet I still funnel all my funds into fish. (That was meant to make it seem wonderful, but it didn't... oh well )
Yes the addiction does happen. Started with a 15 gallon, two weeks later a 60 gallon, 6 months later a 35 gallon. I just finsihed setting up the 35 gallon and already have my eye on another tank!!!
