Hello everyone. I am new to the world of fish. My grandkids moved in with us at the beginning of the pandemic. They wanted a fish tank and their mom bought them a 20 gallon tank. Well, they ended up moving out in July and moving back to Indiana. I knew they couldn't take the tank and I had started to really like the fish, so I decided to keep it. I have really been enjoying my fish!! About a month ago I discovered a baby fish, just a single one. I was able to get into a floating breeding tank, later to transfer it to a one gallon tank until it got big enough to transfer back to my 20 gallon. So after doing research I discovered that my black Molly was the only female in the tank of 6 fish. two glow tetras, two guppies and two mollies. I just came back from a 10 day trip and discovered my black molly was nice and fat!!!! I figured out she was about due any day. I put her in my little floating breeder tank and she just delivered about 15 or so babies. I took her out of the floating tank that the babies are in and put her a different floating tank. I tried to put her back in the main tank but the male Molly was relentless in pursing her. I was afraid it would stress her so I put her back into the other floating tank. I don't know when to put her back in the main tank. I am afraid I am stressing her out. When should she go back into the main tank? (I do know that she will get pregnant again, I might let nature take its course, with other fish eating them) thanks-- accidental fish breeder!!!
