Hi all, I'm in Surrey in the UK, and only joined today having lurked for a little while, but wish I'd found this forum ages ago! I only have two tanks, one which has been running for donkeys' years, and has been home to a mixed bag over the years, currently home to three African Rainbow Cichlids (Anomalochromis thomasi) and ten of their babies, three geriatric chain loaches, a zebra plec, a couple of neon river gobies, and a handful of Amano shrimp, so as you can see, more a selection of oddballs than a carefully curated community. Oh, I do have another tank, a little 60l job that I bought a few weeks ago to house the Anomalochromis offspring, there are 30 in there.

The little Anomalochromis are growing fast, and will need to be moved on soon, so expect to see a post to that effect coming up (I haven't seen anything to suggest that's against the forum rules, but I'm sure you'll let me know if it's not allowed). Right now I have to go and feed the little bleeders!

Welcome. I have a 60 gallon West African Congolese tank with 6 Anomalochromis thomasi, 6 Alestopetersius caudalis and a Pelvicachromis pulcher female. The male died a few weeks ago. A pair of the a. thomasi are caring for 2 week old fry. I love the a. thomasi. Beautiful fish. I hope some of the fry survive. There are 11 predators in the tank constantly stalking the little guys. So far the parents are doing a good job protecting their offspring. Show us some pics of your fish including the young ones.

Hi & welcome to TFF... :hi:
Don't be a stranger and post some pics of your tanks in the right section if you want to... :)
